Force Refresh a Webpage
Force browser to reload all webpage elements from the server.
Also known as hard refresh, force reload, or hard reload.
For Tablet & Mobile, where "force refresh" may not exist, alternative methods are listed.

FOR WINDOWS
Try this first:
- NOTE: This clears cached images/files for all websites, but should retain cookies, saved passwords,
autofill, and browsing history
- In Chrome app, tap the Chrome menu (three dots)
- Tap "Clear Browsing Data" (or "Info" icon)
- Check "Clear Images and Files", uncheck all other options
- Tap "Clear Browsing Data" at bottom
Alternative:
- NOTE: This does not clear cache, but does render page without using cached files
- In the address bar, add "?nocache=1" to the end of the URL
- e.g., "https://site.com/?nocache=1"
Last Option:
- WARNING: This clears all data for all websites
- Tap the Chrome menu (three dots)
- Tap "Settings" icon
- Tap "Privacy & Security"
- Tap either "Clear & Reset" or the Trash icon next to usage stats
Try this first:
- On your iPhone, turn off Wi-Fi and turn on Airplane Mode (you should have no active internet connections)
- Visit the site in Safari and get a network error
- Turn Wi-Fi on, and turn off Airplane Mode
- Visit the site again to see if cached files have been removed
Alternative 1:
- NOTE: This does not clear cache, but does render page without using cached files
- In the address bar, add "?nocache=1" to the end of the URL
- e.g., "https://site.com/?nocache=1"
Alternative 2:
- NOTE: This clears all data for site, including cookies and passwords
- Open Settings app
- Tap "Safari" in the list
- Scroll to bottom and tap "Advanced"
- Tap "Website Data"
- Swipe left on your URL in the list and tap "Delete"
Last Option:
- WARNING: This clears all data for all websites
- Open "Settings" app
- Tap "Safari" in the list
- Tap "Clear History and Website Data"
Try this first:

- Tap "Settings"
- Tap "Data Management"
- Check "Cache", uncheck all other options
- Tap "Clear Private Data"
